Where insight, imagination and inspiration fuse into artistic vision.

Sanctuary Studios

Sanctuary Studios is a place apart from the everyday world – a space where new thought and artistic directions are forged in the fires of inspiration.

A variety of creative activities take place at Sanctuary Studios, including painting, drawing, photography, post-digital mixed-media, performance and media art.

The old brick Sanctuary with it's 25.5'W x 12.5'D stage is being turned into a multi-functional music and performance venue with the installation of a theatrical lighting system and a Mackie/QSC/JBL sound reinforcement system.

The Sanctuary stage will host live music as well as lectures, workshops,
panel discussions and public meetings. The Sanctuary is also available as
a location for film, television or commercial productions and special
events. The Sanctuary can easily accomodate up to 60 people.

The lighting system is being designed to accomodate small- to mid-sized
studio shoots including fashion photography, art portraits and custom motorcycle photography. A front ramp with double-doors facilites load-in.

Contact Roy or Julie at 505. 454. 9330 to book the Sanctuary for your event.

Check back for launch updates and event announcements!

Sanctuary Studios is a part of the community-based arts trail called,
Treasures, Trains & Trails: The Art and Artists of Northeastern New Mexico.
The 3 T's Trail is a pilot project by the Northeastern New Mexico Arts Alliance,
funded by New Mexico Arts, a division of the Department of Cultural Affairs.

Be sure to call ahead for an appointment to visit Sanctuary Studios.

"...art may start with nothing, but it flourishes by virtue of its belief in itself, in the
possibility of control over what seems essentially uncontrollable, in the coherence of
the inchoate, and in its ability to create its own values."
- T. S. Eliot

"Wisdom lies neither in fixity nor in change, but in the dialectic between the two."
- Octavio Paz
