Projects:  Several projects are in process at Sanctuary Studios: Since resigning as Chair of the New Mexico Arts & Cultural District | Las Vegas, Roy has reformed the original SPACE group and is a founding member of SPACE (Special Projects in Arts Culture and Education), an independent community arts network. With the help of Julie's brother Scott, a sculptor and wood craftsman, Roy and Julie have been busy finalizing renovations and improvements to their two live/work studio spaces on Bridge Street, (including the home of ROYAL MASTODON SOCIETY). They have launched, STUDIOS NEW MEXICO, a site featuring those two studios, now available for lease. They have also have recently launched PHOTO | GRAPHIC | IMAGE | ARTS, five unstructured and unrepentant ruminations on art, vision, signs, symbols, graphic depiction and photographic imagery. PGIA is the first in a series of lectures, symposia, panel discussions, commentary, courses, interviews and notes by Roy Montibon and guests for visual artists and creative professionals of all types called Adventures in Art, Photography & Design. Rita-T is working on a new series of abstract paintings, and Roy and Julie are producing new experimental mixed-media work. On the design front, Roy and Julie are developing two new lines of design work targeted at niche audiences. Stay tuned for more updates.
